Magnesium chloride is an inorganic substance with chemical formula MgCl2 and molecular weight of 95.211, showing colorless flaky crystals, slightly soluble in acetone, soluble in water, ethanol, methanol and pyridine. It deliquesces and fumes in wet air, and sublimates when white hot in a stream of hydrogen. Magnesium chloride is mainly distributed in the salt lake of Qaidam in China. Product usage
